There’s not a lot to say with this post. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. At least once a year, I like to take my camera along with me on one of my many visits to the farmers market at Dupont Circle. This Sunday, I was on the prowl for some fresh seasonal strawberries and decided to bring the old Nikon along for the ride. On one hand, I was sorry I didn’t get there sooner. The place was mobbed, and it was difficult shooting around so many people. On the other hand, I was glad to see so many people up early and at the market buying fresh local produce.
I found my strawberries, and plenty of them, and got these great photos too. I hope you enjoy them and that they inspire you to go to the market near you next weekend. Enjoy.

Check back with me next week, and I’ll show you a quick and easy way to enjoy the seasonal goodness of these beautiful berries all year long.

I love Farmers’ Market photos with their gorgeous displays of food.
Sharyn, the produce looks so good that the picture practically take themselves. All I have to do is point the camera!
Dave,
I loved the pictures! I wish I was there with you to enjoy the bounty.

Thanks Tom. Next time you’re in DC, we’ll have to return there.
That was amazing! I can’t believe after all of that, all you purchased were the strawberries! I have oodles of mint in my yard that I can give you for FREE, by the way. Just let me know if you want some, and I’ll bring it to you when I come down to see you. (I can’t get rid of it — it is taking over my yard!!)
Gorgeous photos! What type of camera and lens did you use?
Hi Bai, thanks for the kind words. These pictures were taken with a Nikon D5100 using the standard AF-S VR DX 18-55mm lens that usually comes with the camera. The pictures are then processed through Aperture where I use minimal enhancements and add the shadowed white border.
